Insatiable (Human) Nature

From Ancient times, man has waged war against his own. He invaded dormant civilizations, he conquered nations destroying everything in his path.

Is it really in our nature to destroy ourselves? How could man not subdue his insane thoughts of destruction despite his modern advancement? Does he hunger death? Or does he just "wants" to Destroy his own kind?

"It is in your nature to destroy yourselves.", thats what the Terminator told John Connor from the movie Terminator 2: Judgment Day. Could this be true, our Hunger for Destruction? After all, man has learned to create his Weapons of Destruction.

Making weapons as business; making war as business, I think this is an insane reason to declare war - indirectly of course. How could man find profit from this means? Do they not realize the consequences of it? And yet, they think they do this to protect, I think not, they only protect their investments!

On the other hand, technology has helped man improve his way of living. Take Robots, for example, they were invented to help man do his bidding. But recently, i saw this video from Youtube (type Blaser) that shows robots fighting one another EQUIPPED WITH MILITARY-GRADE LASER BEAMS in a diorama of a Japanese city.

These robots could be the predecessors of our Terminators.

If these robots gets equipped with Sophisticated AI (artificial intelligence) system and used as replacements for the future soldiers, there will come a time that they would surpass human judgment and starts to think of us as their enemies. If that happens so, then it would surely be the end of the Human race. "We are truly, the creators of our own doom."

And how about nuclear power, I think it was discovered to provide our future's power - not using it against our own kind!

Man should start using modern technology in proper ways or else, we might be facing our own demise earlier than we expected. The human race has reached this far in time. We have triumphed over the dark times. We cannot let ourselves be destroyed by our selfish ambitions for greatness and our Insatiable Nature for Destruction.

we are dressed here wierdly for our cheerdance competition last Aug 16, 2007

This group of people here are the best people ive met. everyone Is really great. even though there are some conflicts, but we (since im a part of them) are able to handle them together. we are all close even if there are some "sungog-sungog" (teasing ) with us. Right now we are having our Dual Training System, more like an OJT to ordinary people's terms. this is the time when we no longer see each other "often" since we are sent to different companies.
